Description:Dracaena marginata is widely used in home, office and commercial decor because it tolerates low light. Is a favorite specimen plant in many countries. Its tall snake-like trunk branches with age and can grow up to 3 m high. The basic species has narrowed, arching leaves, which are edged with red.

Dracaena marginata tolerant of lower light. Allow dracaenas to dry slightly between waterings. Wait until the soil surface is dry to the touch, then water them thoroughly. Avoid watering with cold water.

Dracaena marginata grows best in tropical and subtropical gardens. It prefers full sun in good, well drained soil. This is one of the easiest plants to care for.

Dracaena marginata require some special conditions and is unlikely to thrive without them.

Uses: Dracaena marginata is known for purifying the air of the carcinogen, benzene, commonly found in the off-gasing of synthetic materials, ciagerette smoke and other household chemicals. Also known for removing formaldahyde, xylene (found in varnishes, paints and paint thinners) and trichloroethylene (found in solvents) from the air.
